North East Child Psychiatry is proud to be a sustainable practice.
From the development of Dr Gilder’s garden, to our commitment to recycling and reducing our waste, we are taking practical steps to minimise our environmental footprint.
In 2026, we are keen to be even more green.
Did you know?
• We recycle all the coffee pods and water bottles used in our waiting room
• We use eco-friendly cleaning products wherever possible
• We have installed energy-efficient LED lighting and light timers to reduce electricity use
• We are a paper-free practice – records, reports and letters are stored and sent electronically
• We live where we work – walking to the clinic is a carbon-free commute
• We are reviewing our shopping choices – look out for our new bamboo loo paper!
• We recycle batteries, printer cartridges and other office and clinic supplies
• We have transformed Dr Gilder’s garden from a barren backyard to a vibrant green space, adding soil and raised beds for planting, helping support local biodiversity and improve rainwater absorption
